Abstract

Unemployment is an important issue related to social and economic development. Since the 21st century, Hebei Province, as a major province of population and economy in China, has shown new characteristics in its unemployment phenomenon. Structural unemployment has become increasingly prominent and aroused widespread concern in society. On the one hand, there is unemployment among workers, on the other hand, many occupations are idle due to the lack of suitable workers, that is to say, it is large. Mass unemployment coexists with a large number of vacancies. On the basis of certain literature research and from the current situation of structural unemployment in Hebei Province, this paper tries to analyze the causes of structural unemployment in Hebei Province from the perspective of economic development, industrial structure and labor quality, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in view of the problems, with a view to providing certain reference value for alleviating structural unemployment in Hebei Province.
