- Abstract
Tripura is a small Northeastern state of India. It has 19 tribes which makes it a blend of various cultures and traditions. It is regarded as a beautiful tourist destination due to its picturesque landscape and delightful climate. In the recent years tourism has rapidly increased all over India and so it has increased in Tripura as well. Tripura’s rich cultural heritage, significant historical sites, and ancient rock-cut sculptures make it a favourable tourist destination. This paper aims to study the growth of tourism in Tripura by analyzing the trend and percentage share of domestic and foreign tourist inflow in Tripura. Time-series data is used to do the analysis. The findings of the study suggest fluctuations in tourist growth over the years.
