Abstract

The present study delves into the possibility of integrating the adoption of virtual ecosystem models in the various prominent service-based industries in the country specifically those industries engaged in providing healthcare, education, banking and hospitality based services to the consumers. In the rapid pace of digitalization, virtual digital technology led models which transform the surrounding environment into a highly conducive and sustainable one consisting mainly of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), cloud computing highlighting the feasibility of these models in to the service industries in expanding their consumer base. Through an extensive review of the literature and undergoing a few case studies relevant to the study, the paper basically highlights the potentiality of the virtual ecosystem models in strengthening the customer experiences, operational efficiency and usability. Furthermore, the findings of the study suggest that among the various service sector industries- education and healthcare are the two most prominent industry having a high adaptability potential of using these models because of their increasing demand in experiential and communicative services. Besides these, the above two industry also come across certain hurdles in the due process mainly those of high adoption rates, limited digital usability, data privacy concerns and regulatory restrictions that pose a challenge in expanding the adoption rates of such virtual ecosystem models. The present study arrive at the conclusion that the adoption of virtual digital models can transform the service sector industry in a more vibrant and resilient manner by positioning with technological accessibility, user acceptance and resilient digital infrastructure.
