Abstract

The objective of the study was to explain the status of school and cultural art learning materials presented to students of CLC (Comunity Learning Center) cultivation school. The location of the research was taken purposively at 3 (location) of learning that is CLC Belinin, Cli Serat Bangsa Kimanis and CLC of Quick Field. This research is qualitative naturalistic. Researchers conducted an exploration to collect data with active observation techniques and in-depth interviews and analysis of document contents/archives. So that data can be valid that reflects the quality of the reality of a phenomenon done by triangulation of sources of informants, places, and events as well as sources of document/archive data. To generate accurate conclusions data are analyzed by interactive techniques with steps after data collection, reduced, data presentation and verification. Analyzes are performed repeatedly on a cycle-by-date basis until genuine valid conclusions are obtained. The results show that CLC is a learning of children from illegal Indonesian migrant workers whose status is unique, namely in foreign countries that is Malaysia. The location of the school is far from the city and the process of organizing is informal but the status of the organization is formal under the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. The special learning materials of art and culture to introduce Indonesian culture include (1) painting, (2) coloring (3) batik, (4) traditional games (5) singing national anthem (6) traditional dance (7) knowing Indonesia, and (8) make wicker art.
