Abstract

The information age calls for the deep integration of information technology and subject teaching. Based on constructivism and the characteristics of English grammar, this document explores some information-based approaches in the English grammar teaching by using information technology: realizing targeted teaching by means of Rain Classroom pre-test; helping students better understand the use of the rules by creating a real communicative context; testing instantly in class what has been learned by intelligent post-test; enhancing grammatical awareness in the discourse analysis by co-operation-and-discussion-based activities; internalizing grammar knowledge in practice by extracurricular activities especially micro video production. Such information-based teaching activities are in line with the characteristics of English grammar, contributing to improving the teaching effectiveness of English grammar and arousing students’ interest in grammar learning.
