Abstract

Chinese folk paper cutting is a precious national cultural resource in China. It is accompanied by ancient Chinese folk customs, is the dominant symbol of Chinese folk culture, represents the aesthetic taste and attitude of the people, and shows the simple and fresh national creative spirit. In foreign cultural exchanges, Chinese folk paper-cut also shows great advantages. In summary, it mainly includes representativeness, diversity, grassroots and affinity of image. Chinese is one of the oldest languages in the world. Chinese characters originated from hieroglyphs, which were originally visual language symbols. There is a natural connection between Chinese characters and the art of cutting characters in folk paper-cut. Through the introduction of Chinese folk paper-cut into the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, the author explains the important role of Chinese folk paper-cut in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
