Proceedings of the 4th International Seminar on Education Research and Social Science (ISERSS 2021)

It is my honor to introduce the proceedings of the 4th International Seminar on Education Research and Social Science (ISERSS-21). This seminar was organized by INTI International University & Colleges and Tunku Abdul Rahman University with technical support from ETDIS. Due to the COVID-19 and travel restrictions, it was held on December 25, 2021. Although the mode of participation has changed, the enthusiasm of scholars attending it was not reduced. Also, the seminar achieved fruitful exchanges and cooperation results.

As we know, the COVID-19 epidemic has not been effectively controlled yet. Although vaccines have been used, sporadic patients have occasionally been found. Academic exchanges are important, but health and safety should be considered firstly. So, the ISERSS-21 was held online with the help of advanced Internet technology. Due to our good academic reputation and extensive communication background, the seminar attracted experts and scholars from more than 10 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, the USA, China (Mainland), China Hong Kong, and Malaysia, realizing extensive communication without regional and Time Zone constraints. It would be helpful for the development of education and social sciences. At the same time, the seminar was highly praised by the participants for its mature organization and orderly arrangement.

Great thanks to our outstanding keynote speakers, Prof. Syed Abdul Rehman Khan and Dr. Viktoriia Buhaiova. They shared the keynote speeches entitled “Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy Practices: A New Era Business Strategies for Environmental Sustainability” and “Determining the Directions of Specialist Preparation Development in the Specialty 026 Performing Arts Based on the Survey Results of Applicants for Higher Education” with the participants. Their speeches deeply analyzed the specific problems in education and sociology, and brought thought and inspiration to the participants. ISERSS-21 received more than 150 submissions (full papers and abstracts). After a strict single-blind review, 79 articles were accepted and suggested to be published by Atlantis Press. In addition, the authors were invited to record a video to share their research. Each presentation video is approximately 15 minutes, and all videos are uploaded to the webserver for long-term accessibility. Participants can enjoy and learn them at any time and discuss with the author by email if they have any questions. With continuous practice and exploration, the video-based online conference has gradually matured, which can realize academic exchanges and ensure the health and safety of participants.

Lastly, we sincerely thank all the universities and individuals who have prepared for the seminar organization. There will be no success and fruitful results without your joint efforts. We also would like to thank Atlantis Press for providing professional publishing support. We look forward to seeing you at the 5th ISERSS in 2022.
