The 3rd Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education Conference (SoSHEC 2019) is one of a series of international conferences held by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), Indonesia, this year. The conference was held on 31 August 2019 in Tulip Legacy Hotel, Surabaya, Indonesia. Organizing this event shows the commitment and acknowledgement of Unesa to research activities. This event will be a perfect platform for researchers in the fields of education, humanities and social sciences to exchange ideas and experiences and to build network with others. In addition, this conference certainly helps improve scientific publication of researchers. The theme of the conference is “Revisiting Language, Culture, and Education after the Digital Turn”. This theme has been a central issue in the agenda of strengthening national culture and education in developing countries. A great deal of effort should be devoted to achieve the goals, and this requires participations from all parties, especially researchers of social sciences and humanities. The researchers can do their bit with their research findings in promoting social changes in order to create sustainable development, to reduce inequality, and to improve human resources. This conference has attracted much attention from scientific community. There are 113 review and research-based papers submitted and presented in the conference. The papers have a wide range of topics, namely culture, literature, linguistics, culture studies, arts and design, sport education, economics and accounting, as well as creativity in teaching and learning. Out of the submitted papers, 75 papers were selected to be published by Atlantis Press. The selection was based on the results of the rigorous review of the papers by two referees for each paper who focused on the format, language use, and contents. Hopefully, the scientific papers can provide invaluable insights on those very important topics.
