Abstract

The 13th Five-Year Plan of China has made it clear that we should initiate the green development concept. In the context of information and communication technology, the development of green ICT in China faces an unprecedented opportunity. This study summarizes the practical experience of green ICT development from foreign countries and analyzes the environment for green ICT development in China. On the basis of this, we propose that we should implement green ICT policies as soon as possible, increase R & D funding and human capital investment and make the green ICT development concept known to more and more people.
