Proceedings of the 6th UPI International Conference on TVET 2020 (TVET 2020)

The 6th Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia International Conference on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (The 6th UPI International Conference on TVET) was held on 16-17 September 2020. This 6th UPI International Conference on TVET is part of UPI International Conference on TVET series, which were held biannually, started from The 1st UPI International Conference on TVET in 2010. This conference series has successfully brought together actors of the global TVET sectors, served as a place for exchange of knowledge and of examples of good practices of collaboration in TVET in the region within the last decade. Due to Covid-16 pandemic worldwide, the 6th UPI International Conference on TVET in 2020 was held as an online conference, in conjunction with The 5th International Conference on Innovative Education and Technology (ICIET) 2020, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Thailand.

This conference was an epitome of international collaboration, jointly organized by the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and the Faculty of Technical Education Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) Thailand, in cooperation with the Regional Association for Vocational and Technical Education in Asia (RAVTE). This conference is also supported by Advance Knowledge for Sustainable Growth (AKSI) program funded by Asian Development Bank, for achieving its goals to make UPI as a Center of Excellence on Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Technology and networking in the world of TVET in the region are both key issues and the strength of the region. The 6th UPI International Conference on TVET, focusing on the utilization of “Technology to Improve the World of TVET”. This theme is very relevant and beneficial to our TVET current situation. This conference discussed how technology have been applied and useful in technical and vocational practices, and how education technology and networking have been functional during this current situation in the region and beyond. The papers presented in this conference are published in this conference proceeding. We do hope that the research papers have significant contributions in the world of TVET in the region.
