- Abstract
This study aims to provide a clear picture of the application of happiness at work among Muslimah Barefoot Entrepreneurs, MSMEs in Banjarmasin City. The study seeks to explore the phenomenon of happiness at work and to analyze whether its application has an effect on the performance of these MSMEs. Data for this study were collected from five key informants, selected through snowball sampling, and obtained through passive participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and a combination of open- and closed-ended question instruments. This study prioritized an emic perspective, giving full attention to the perceptions of the key informants. Miles and Huberman’s phenomenological approach was employed in the analysis. The findings indicate that happiness at work positively affects the performance of Muslimah Barefoot Entrepreneurs, MSMEs in Banjarmasin City.
