Process assessment was one of the important assessment modes which has been put more emphasis in The Overall Plan for Deepening Reformation of Education Assessment in a New Era. This paper summarized the design and implement of the process assessment based on the course of Specialty English for Environmental Science and Engineering. The process assessment was practiced by resetting the assessment time, changing the evaluation methods, and altering the assessment purpose in this course during online teaching. In addition, the effects of process assessment in this course were discussed and the further studies in the future need to conduct were listed in this paper.
