The 2026 2nd International Conference on Education Reform, Ideology and Politics (ERIP 2026) was successfully held in Changchun, China, from May 29 to 31, 2026. The conference brought together scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners from universities and research institutions worldwide to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in education reform and ideological and political education.

ERIP 2026 attracted more than 100 participants from different countries and regions. A total of 108 papers were submitted to the conference, and after a rigorous peer-review process, 45 high-quality papers were selected for publication in this volume. The accepted contributions reflect current developments and emerging trends in educational theory, teaching practice, curriculum innovation, and ideological and political studies.

The conference featured three keynote speeches delivered by distinguished experts. Professor Ying Wu, Dean of the International Exchange College at Changchun Guanghua University, shared insights into teacher professional development through organizational support and self-determination theory. Professor Xiaoli Sun, Dean of the School of General Education at Changchun University of Electronic Science and Technology, discussed innovative approaches to the reform of public foundation courses and general education from both Chinese and international perspectives. Associate Professor Juan Zhang, Director of the College English Teaching and Research Office at the same institution, presented new pathways for integrating value cultivation and quality enhancement into college English teaching. In addition, invited speeches, oral presentations, and academic discussions further enriched the conference, providing valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The conference covered a broad range of topics related to educational innovation, curriculum reform, blended and personalized learning, educational technology, teacher development, educational assessment, globalization and educational change, cross-cultural communication, ideological and political theory, moral education, public policy, social responsibility, cultural diversity, and civic values. These discussions highlighted the important role of education in responding to societal transformation and promoting sustainable development.

The Organizing Committee sincerely thank all authors, reviewers, keynote speakers, committee members, and participants for their valuable contributions and support. It is hoped that the research presented in this proceedings volume will provide useful references for future studies and encourage continued academic collaboration in the fields of education reform and ideological and political education.
