- Abstract
In recent years, the Halal economy has experienced robust growth and is gradually becoming a global trend, attracting the attention of many countries, particularly emerging economies. This market not only presents opportunities to boost exports but also contributes to enhancing national image and international integration capacity. With advantages in agriculture, food processing, and geographic location, Vietnam is considered a country with significant potential to participate more deeply in the global Halal value chain. However, the development of the Halal sector in Vietnam has yet to fully reflect its inherent potential, partly due to infrastructural limitations, insufficient support mechanisms, and an evolving policy environment. On this basis, the paper focuses on analyzing the role of the Halal industry as a strategic advantage that contributes to enhancing national competitiveness and promoting comprehensive and sustainable international integration.
