Abstract

The importance of traditional culture in higher education is beyond doubt. By analyzing the results of the questionnaire survey for the independent college students, this paper finds the main factors affecting the inheritance of traditional culture, which are concentrated in the social environment, the educated and the educators. Therefore, to improve the inheritance effect of traditional culture, the paper suggests that independent colleges can start from the following aspects: colleges should improve students' traditional cultural identity through various means, strengthen the construction of school system to ensure traditional culture teaching, establish a high quality faculty team, and perfect the traditional culture curriculum system of the school. In this way, a flexible and diverse, systematic and effective traditional cultural education system will be established to further strengthen traditional cultural education.
