Abstract

The evolution of the Chinese character “Ren” with kindheartedness and the influence of kindheartedness are studied by the paper author. “Ren” is at the core of Confucianism, it is also the foundation of Chinese culture. We have presented the relationship between the development of “Ren” and Chinese culture after the study of “Ren” character. The meaning and value in era are discussed. This paper combines the Confucian thought with modern thought and it also studies the embodiment of the ideological connotation of benevolence in Chinese culture.
