Abstract

Public signs are the written and graphic information that is closely related to life, production and ecology of the public.In recent years, the study of public signs has gradually become a hot topic in the field of translation amid the appeals of many experts in the field of linguistic translation. In order to better regulate Chinese-English translation of public signs in Zhoushan, through social investigation, visits and interviews, this article presents some problems and tries to analyze the causes. Meanwhile, some feasible suggestions and improvement measures are proposed to enhance the public language translation quality and beautify Zhoushan language environment, so as to promote the internationalization of Zhoushan.
