Abstract

With the pace of China’s reform and opening up, the realistic sculpture in China has undergone great changes. China’s reform and opening up is the most fundamental internal motivation to promote the development and change of Chinese realistic sculpture. Reform and opening up not only provide abundant internal resources and huge ideological energy for the development of contemporary Chinese realistic sculpture, but also provide a stable and prosperous external environment for the creation of Chinese realistic sculpture. Since the reform and opening up, excellent works of Chinese realistic sculpture have emerged in an endless stream. These works are not only the results of the continuous development and progress of Chinese realistic sculpture in the opening up, but also the most precious and three-dimensional image materials that witness the transformation and development process of Chinese society in this historical stage.
