Abstract

This paper explains and demonstrates influence of copper (I) on europium (Eu)-containing micelles. Main influence contains hindering formation of Eu-containing micelles and quenching luminescence. That is because of coordination of copper (I) with 4-vinyl pyridine (4VP). Competition occurred in coordination between Cu(I) and Eu (III).
