Abstract

Gender-based violence is still an unresolved problem in Indonesia. This is indicated by the high level of violence against women and children. Violence is one indicator in the gender equality and equity index used to measure development success. This certainly shows that Indonesia still has challenges in realizing gender equality and justice in national development. Various attempts have been made by the government. Gender mainstreaming is one of the government’s efforts to overcome these challenges.
