- Abstract
The objective of this research is to describe the implementation and obstacles experienced by teaching in implementing self-safety learning for students with intellectual disability. The data in this descriptive research are collected through interview and observation regarding to the process of self-safety learning. The data are analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique. The results of this research show that there are obstacles in implementing learning method and using learning media in learning that causes the self-safety learning material has not been delivered completely and the learning purpose has not been achieved. Self-safety learning needs the implementation of method and media that consider the safety, security, needs and characteristics of students with intellectual disability in order to achieve the learning purpose.
