Abstract

This research aims to find out the implementation of vision and mission, strategy, and supervise the character education of students at SMPN 1 Lempuing Jaya. This research use was qualitative method. The data collected by are interviews, observations, and documentation instrument. The result of the research was the implementation of the vision and mission of the Head of SMPN 1 Lempuing Jaya OKI Regency, in building the character of the students, namely making the character of the discipline, both the headmaster’s strategy in building the character of the learners through accuracy, reprimand, motivation, environmental conditioning, habituation, and character integration through learning activities. The three supervisions carried out by the headmaster in building the character of the learners include monitoring the teachers in carrying out character learning in the classroom, supervising the course of the character education activities program, checking the state and integrity of school facilities and evaluating through briefings.
