Abstract
The autonomy in foreign language learning has always been a topic of concern. Its advocates are learner-centered, and the emphasis on the learners’ view of being responsible for self-learning has become the core concept of a new round of college English teaching reform. The article starts with self-learning theory, expounds the necessity of independent learning of college English in China, and focuses on the cultivation of college English autonomous learning ability in order to provide some references for college English teaching.
