- Abstract
Microcontroller design technology is an important compulsory course for the major of Electrical Engineering and Automation, integrating multiple disciplines. The traffic light control system is a classic experimental case in this course. Traditional teaching has the drawbacks of a single goal and fixed content. This paper proposes a “layered progressive” teaching mode: downwardly, knowledge points are refined to modules to meet the needs of beginners to consolidate the foundation, form a knowledge system, and cultivate practical abilities; upwardly, for students with a good foundation, the depth and breadth of the content are expanded for undergraduate research. At the same time, the virtual Proteus software simulation and the STC hardware platform are used for collaborative training to enhance students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems. Practice shows that this teaching mode can meet the needs of different students at different levels, effectively cultivate students’ comprehensive abilities such as programming and debugging, and stimulate their interest in learning.
