- Abstract
In response to the numerous issues in traditional engineering talent cultivation and the urgent demand for “integration” and “innovation” in talents in the context of emerging engineering education, this study integrates the teaching concept of Project-Based Learning (PBL) into the teaching reform of the Mechanical Principles course. This integration is based on the advantages of PBL in emerging engineering education development and practical exploration experience, combined with discipline competitions. Through the practice of PBL teaching in Mechanical Principles, it is found that students have a high acceptance of the PBL-based teaching model. Students’ awards in discipline competitions verify that their abilities in innovation awareness, communication and cooperation, and solving practical complex engineering problems have been significantly improved, achieving a satisfactory teaching effect.
