Abstract

The Beidou Spirit of the New Era is a spiritual treasure cultivated by China’s Beidou builders through their arduous struggles and persistent efforts in the development of the Beidou Satellite Navigation System. Our team has integrated this spirit into the routine cultivation of students, adhering to the combination of small ideological and political classrooms with the university broader educational context. By embedding ideological and political education into students daily management and academic practices, the team has developed a series of distinctive Beidou-themed ideological and political courses. This approach has effectively addressed the limitations of traditional ideological and political education, such as abstract content, monotonous forms, and insufficient practical components. Integrated into the university’s holistic ideological and political education system featuring ‘proactive ideological and political education and integrated talent cultivation,’ these practices have enhanced students ideological awareness and collective honor, and significantly strengthened their determination to engage in Beidou-related development as well as their enthusiasm for scientific research.
