Abstract

This paper addresses two critical issues in graduate-level modern control theory education: overly abstract theoretical content and the disconnect between teaching and research training. We propose a closed-loop case-based teaching framework centered on a core case of prescribed-time adaptive tracking control for flexible robotic manipulators. The framework integrates six interconnected components and shifts the pedagogical focus from passive knowledge transmission to comprehensive research capability development. Teaching practice demonstrates that this approach significantly enhances student engagement and effectively cultivates their scientific research and innovation abilities.
