- Abstract
This study focuses on Chinese characters containing the “木” (wood) radical, synthesizing etymological and cultural rationales to summarize the characteristics of their formation. From the perspective of etymological rationale, the research explores the graphical forms and semantic meanings of these characters. Additionally, it analyzes the cultural connotations embedded in “木” radical characters through the lens of traditional Chinese culture. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for enriching research on Chinese character formation and offer reference significance for Chinese language education.
