Abstract

The thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era is full with rich connotation and vital significance. From now, the principle mission of ideological and political education in higher institutions is to arm all teachers and students in colleges and universities with the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and promote college students to understand its guiding significance, historical status, rich connotation, spiritual essence and practical requirements, master and practice it in reality to consciously be the firm believer and loyal practitioner of communist lofty ideal and socialism common ideal with Chinese characteristics. For teachers of ideological and political course in colleges and universities, it is necessary to conduct researches on how to promote the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era to “get access to teaching materials, classroom and students’ mind” and enhance students’ learning effectiveness.
