Abstract

This paper expounds the concept of English tenses, from a new angle through inheriting traditional grammar theories and combining the basic categories of mathematics and physics subject. It firstly proves that why there are only 16 kinds of English tenses, and successfully reasons out English tenses of regularity, so it also provides a new mode for the understanding and application of English tense.
