Abstract

The inheritance of traditional culture has been widely recognized by the state and society in recent years. Those sports buildings with profound traditional historical and cultural background in campus seem to be neglected in the process of inheriting and promoting the development of campus traditional sports culture. In sorting out the traditional cultural characteristics of quyage gymnasium and the professional feelings of previous educators, we find that the symbolic value of quyage gymnasium is greater than it1s actual utility as a material cultural heritage. The physical education function of quyage gymnasium in campus is still lacking, and the joint point of traditional culture inheritance is not stable. Therefore, we believe that quyage gymnasium will play an active and effective role in inheriting and promoting campus sports culture when it is built into a sports auditorium Museum, a traditional culture exchange center, and a national mass physique monitoring center.
