Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the learning of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) using puppet demonstrators in Phase C students at SDN Muntilan 3 Magelang and identify supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects include school principals, teachers, students, and parents, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, and the validity of the data is strengthened by triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of P5 with puppet puppets is carried out through three main stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. At the planning stage, the school prepares teaching tools and projects that are integrated with Pancasila values and local wisdom. The implementation stage shows the active involvement of students in project-based learning that is contextual and student-centered, so that it is able to foster the character of mutual cooperation, creativity, independence, and critical reasoning. The evaluation stage is carried out on an ongoing basis by emphasizing the assessment of the process and the development of students’ character. Factors supporting implementation include the support of the principal, teacher competence, student enthusiasm, availability of facilities, and support from parents and the community. The inhibiting factors found include time constraints, differences in teachers’ understanding of P5, and technical obstacles in project implementation. Overall, the use of puppet props in P5 has proven to be effective as a learning medium based on local wisdom to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile in elementary school students.
