The article argues that the arrival of the intelligent era is inevitable and it is a historical necessity which requires widespread attention and proactive guidance. The impact of AI technology on foreign language education in universities is comprehensive, calling for careful planning and calm responses. University teachers and students should equip their minds with new ideas, adapt their perspectives to the demands of the new era, and actively engage in experimental reforms. They must be fully prepared, both ideologically and technically, to meet the challenges posed by AI technology.
