Abstract

Traditional postgraduate teaching in electronic information overemphasizes theoretical knowledge, undervalues practical application, and neglects ideological and political (IP) value guidance, which weakens students’ sense of social responsibility and professional mission. Taking Optical Fiber Communication as a core course example, this paper proposes a problem-oriented teaching method under curriculum IP education. It integrates real-world problems with curriculum content, excavates IP elements including patriotism, scientific spirit and engineering ethics, and constructs a case library development path: “problem design–teaching content reconstruction–IP element integration”. Teaching implementation adopts a “classroom-laboratory-social practice” trinity platform and promotes the unity of knowledge imparting and value guidance through a multi-dimensional evaluation system. Results show that this model significantly improves postgraduates’ engineering innovation capability and IP awareness, providing a replicable implementation path for engineering curriculum IP education featured by “problem contextualization, covert IP integration, process-oriented evaluation”. It offers valuable insights for solving the disconnection between knowledge transmission and value shaping in higher education.
